Gilberto "Gibby" D. Espinoza, 66, widower of Teresa Espinoza, went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on June 16, 1957, San Antonio, Texas, a son of the late Maria Concepcion and Juan Espinoza.

Gibby led a life filled with his passions, his love for Harley Davison, and many accomplishments. Prior to his retirement he was employed by SAWS with over twenty years of service. He dedicated his life to the family he cherished so much and was deeply respected by those he loved and peers.

We will forever cherish the memories of Gilberto's remarkable life and the impact he made on all those who knew him.

In addition to his wife Teresa Espinoza and parents Maria Concepcion and Juan Espinoza, his is also preceded in death by sisters, Rosa, Linda, Nancy, Norma and Delma; and brothers, Teodoro, Juan, Daniel, Joe, Martin, Ernest and Rogelio.

Family members include his children, Connie Espinoza (Eddie Valdez), Gilberto Espinoza Jr. (Ashley Espinoza) and Jacob Alvarez; grandchildren, Samantha Ramos, Leroy Maldonado (Jessica Maldonado), Kaylyn Valdez, Aliza Espinoza, Aiden Espinoza, Avery Espinoza, Jaycie Alvarez, Matthew Alvarez, Jacob Alvarez and  Yasenia Alvarez; great grandchildren, Karter Maldonado, Kaden Maldonado, Jade Levine, Jianna Levine and Baby Espinoza; sisters, Felicitas Rosales, Terry Espinoza and Diana Aguilar (Luis Aguilar); in addition to numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, March 21, 2024, in Castillo Funeral Home at 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for a rosary service.

A funeral mass will be conducted on Friday, March 22, 2024, in St. John Berchmans Catholic Church at 10:00 am. The burial will follow with a graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery III.
