Gloria Marie Gonzales, 62, went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2023, at her home in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on August 22, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas, a daughter of the late Tempora and Benjamin Gonzales Sr.

Beloved sister, beloved aunt and great aunt, beloved teacher. Gloria was devoted to teaching children in Catholic Schools within the Archdiocese of San Antonio. Prior to her passing she was employed for over 22 years spending time at St. Ann's, SJB, LF, SMM, and St. Anthony's. In addition to this she also served as a substitute teacher for EISD. Gloria truly was devoted to her profession and was proud to have earned her BA Elementary Education and her TEA Cert for grades 1st - 8th.Gloria was living with stage 4 cancer but always remained positive, productive, lived a life of the Lord and truly loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Gonzales Sr and her beloved mother Tempora Davila Gonzalez along with many aunts, uncles, and several cousins.

She is survived by her brothers, sisters, many nieces and nephews, in addition to extended family and friends including every student impacted by her.

The family will receive guests on Monday, May 15, 2023. at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm for visitation and a Rosary Service at 6:00 pm.

A funeral mass will be conducted on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in St. John Berchmans Catholic Church at 10:00 am followed by burial at San Fernando III Catholic Cemetery.
