Obituary

Gloria San Miguel, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024. Born November 27, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas, Gloria was known for her vibrant spirit, her deep love for her family and friends and beautiful flowers.

Gloria is preceded by her 2 grandsons Danny and Jesse Sandoval, brother, Arturo Barrientez, mother Ruth Barrientez and grandmother Maria Vidaurre.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Luis San Miguel, by her daughter, Diana Cardenas, sister Anita Lares (Joe), brother Johnny Medrano(Claire),3 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Gloria's love and joy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Gloria enjoyed being a member of the First Mexican Baptist Church for over 20 years. Her weekends regularly consisted of her enjoying dining with family, close friends and members of her church.

Gardening and flowers were another passion that brought her solace and fulfillment. She took pride in having beautiful landscaping and hanging baskets. But her biggest Love was her Family, especially Christmas Time spent with her children and grandchildren. Over the years she always found a way to get that special gift, no matter how hard it was to find.

Gloria will be remembered for her kindness and warmth that touched the lives of all who knew her. Her gentle demeanor left an indelible mark on her family and friends.

Gloria R. San Miguel will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for the light she brought into the lives of others. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty she created and the love she shared.
