Our dear mother, Gloria Montemayor, sadly passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31st, at the age of 78 surrounded by her loving family in her final moments.

Gloria Montemayor is survived by her children and their spouses Robert & Melinda Sosa, Eric & Denise Sosa, Lydia & Neal Jones, Dolores Sosa, Adam Sosa, & Ricardo Sosa.  Her siblings and their spouses Leo & Belinda Castillo, Gilbert Castillo, Olga & Lamar Threet, Estella Guzman, and Dolores and David Rubio.  She had 18 grandchildren,  24 great-grandchildren,  and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lucio Montemayor, parents Elias and Manuela Castillo, brother-in-law David Guzman, sister-in-law Rosa Castillo, and grandchildren Baby Anthony Sosa and great-grandson, Rey Anthony Tamayo.

Gloria was a kind, sweet loving,  and spiritual person who cherished every moment she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great children.  She will be deeply missed  by her friends, family, and all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Castillo Funeral Home Chapel at 520 N. General McMullen Dr. San Antonio, TX 78228. Memorial Service is at 2:00 pm.
