Gloria G. Ramirez

August 28, 1944 – March 7, 2025

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. Gloria passed away on March 7, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Gloria was the second oldest of thirteen children. She was a devoted wife for over 40 years, and a loving mother to three children, and proud grandmother. She was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had a love for music, plants and birds.  She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends.

Gloria is preceded in death by her father Epifanio Garcia, mother Angelita Garcia, sister's Paula Alvarado, and Mary Lou Ponce, brother Jerry Garcia, and her husband Juan Jose Ramirez.

Gloria will be greatly missed by her children John Garica, Diane Contreras (Hector Lopez), Carolina (Carrie) Ramirez; grandchildren Marissa and Christian Contreras, and Andrew Moreno. Siblings; George (Gloria) Garcia, Socorro (Robert) Trevino, Rudy Garcia, Raul (Marty) Garcia, Louie (Marie) Garcia, Irma (Roy) Espinoza, Alice Villareal, Grace (Clayton) Laubert, Steve (Terry) Garcia and numerous nephews and nieces, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Castillo Funeral Home with a Rosary at 6 PM. Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 24, 2025, Castillo Funeral Home a procession will depart the funeral home for a 10:30 AM Mass at  St. Jude Catholic Church, with Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery #3.
