Obituary

Gloria Revilla Tate was born December 4, 1960, to Stellla C. Tello and Robert Revilla in San Antonio, Texas. Gloria attended Highlands High School and graduated May 31, 1979. She later married Mark Tate on July 28, 1990. A few years later she began working for H-E-B and continued in her career for the next 24 years. She was a Manager in Charge for the Castle Hills H-E-B, which she considered her other family. She was always excited to go to work and share big hugs with her work family. She always wanted to make everyone around her feel loved and appreciated. Acts 20:35 says "There's more happiness in giving than there is in receiving." She genuinely exemplified that scripture, as acts of service was certainly her love language.
Gloria adored her two children and was very proud of them. She loved watching movies with Michael and laughing at jokes only they got. She always reminded him of the important things in life. She believed in him and encouraged him to do anything he could put his mind to. She loved her daughter and always expressed how grateful she was to her for always caring for her. Every time she spoke with Stella, she told her how much she loved her and would say "Always, always, promise, promise" which conveyed how much she really meant it. Gloria loved all her grandkids. She was so proud of each of them and their goals. She loved watching them grow into the people they are. She would tell them "Ish Liebe dich", which is I love you in German. She was a loving Oma. She loved spending time with her sisters playing Monopoly and eating barbacoa and Big Red and speaking to her dad, Raul, for hours.
Gloria is preceded in death by her late husband Mark Tate, and her 3 brothers Paul Alvarado, Carlos Solis, and Gilbert Ibarra. She is survived by her two children Michael Anthony Revilla, his wife Crystal, and her daughter Stella Walker and their children. Her 7 grandchildren include Thalia, Michael Jr., Noah, Jayden, and Evan Revilla, as well as Madison and Makayla Walker. She also left behind her mother, Stella Tello, and her dad Raul Ibarra, her sisters Erlinda Perez (David), and Teresa Salamut, numerous nieces and nephews, her biological father, Robert Revilla and 9 half siblings.
Gloria remains forever in our hearts and her memory lives on in our minds. We love you, Oma!
