Obituary

Gregory Lozano Barrera was born on January 5, 1942, in Austin, TX. Beloved Husband, brother, devoted father, and grandfather went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2022, at the age of 80 years old. He was preceded in death by his sister Martha Arizola, brothers Jesus (Jesse), Jose (Joe) Barrera, and daughter Arlene Martha Barrera. Amongst his survivors include his wife Anna Martha Barrera; children Lora Michelle Rojas (Jesus) and Liza Monique Barrera. Grandchildren Julia, Maricle, Mia, and Maximiliano, great-grandchildren Alexander.

Gregory served in the US Army at the age of 22 and received a Vietnam Service Medal.
He also worked for Kelly/Standard Aero as a welder and retired after working 38 years. Above all, Gregory believed in hard work, family, and enjoying life to the fullest. Gregory will be greatly missed by all his loved ones.

Public Visitation will be at Castillo Funeral Home on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 2:30 pm to 6 pm. A Rosary will be recited from 6 pm to 7 pm. A funeral procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 10:20 am for the Mass of Burial at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11 am. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
