Guadalupe R.
Betancourt
November 24, 1937 – September 1, 2022
Guadalupe R. Betancourt went to be with the lord on September 1, 2022, at the age of 84.
Guadalupe was born on November 24, 1937, to the late Natalia Sanchez and Federico Rodriguez in Mexico. She and her husband Agustin Betancourt shared at fifty-four-year marriage and adventure together before his passing in 2010. She adored her three children, Efren, Antonia, and Agustin Jr. and nothing made her happier than being their mother.
Guadalupe enjoyed an incredible life and accomplished much during it. She found the simple pleasures of life were most satisfying; great conversation, making someone smile, and feeling hopeful for the future of those she knew. She found gardening to be rewarding, entertaining and was her healthy hobby. Being in her flower garden was her getaway from the rest of the world in her own little space.
Her capacity for generosity knew no bounds as she would help anyone with support, encouragement, and guidance. Nobody left hungry around Guadalupe because she loved being in the kitchen cooking for everyone. She loved when family and friends would get together for holidays and special occasion. Those times exists now in our memories and will be cherished and remembered forever. While her time with us in this world must conclude, her love and legacy live on forever.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Agustin Betancourt; grandson, Vincent Bell; parents, Natalia Sanchez and Federico Rodriguez; sisters, Oralia Garcia and Elvira Rodriguez; and brother, Eduardo Rodriguez.
She is survived by her children, Efren Ceniceros, Antonia M. Limones, and Agustin Betancourt Jr.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm. A Chapel Service will begin at 10:00 am on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Castillo Funeral Home with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
