Guadalupe R Carreon Jr born on July 8 1950 was called home to be with our lord on Sunday March 1, 2026 at the age of 75. He was a loving husband, father, brother and son who lived life to the fullest.

He is a 1969 graduate of Edgewood High School. After graduation he joined and proudly served in the United States Navy for 2 years and later joined Texas Army National Guard Military Police where he served 20 years and retired on Nov 1996 at the same time he worked as a body repairman for Via Metropolitan Transit and retired after 24 years. He then went to work for Northside Independent School District in the transportation department as a special needs school bus driver and retired after 21 years. He was also a lifetime member of the Edgewood District Veterans

Guadalupe accomplished several retirements but the one job he loved the most was driving his special needs students.

He is preceded in death by his father Guadalupe A Carreon Sr and survived by his wife of 53 years Berta M Carreon, sons Guadalupe M Carreon III (Hazel), Mark M Carreon, his mother Josefa Carreon, brothers Hilario Carreon (Juana) David Carreon (Lena) sisters Sulema Sanchez (Joe) Amparo Martinez (Jesse) numerous nieces and nephews.

Guadalupe will live in our hearts forever and never will we forget him.

Visitation will be on Tuesday March 17th from 4-8 pm with a rosary at 6 pm. Graveside service with full honors will be on Wednesday March 18th. We will be  meeting at Castillo Funeral Home beginning at 8 am and departing the funeral home at 10 am. Internment will follow at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery.
