Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Guadalupe V. Castillo, who left this world on October 1, 2026, at her home in the presence of her beloved daughter, Rebecca. Born on March 20, 1930, in Edcouch, Texas, Guadalupe lived a vibrant and full life for 96 remarkable years.

Guadalupe was the cherished daughter of Eliseo and Virginia Valdez, who preceded her in death. She was also reunited in heaven with her children, Raul, Gloria, and Ruben Castillo, who she held dear in her heart every day.

Throughout her life, Guadalupe was a beacon of joy and laughter. Known for her love of dancing and singing, she was often the life of the party, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone around her. Her quick wit and knack for telling jokes ensured that there was never a dull moment in her presence. Guadalupe’s infectious spirit and warmth left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her devoted children, Robert and Rebecca Castillo, who carry on her legacy with pride. Guadalupe’s family extended further, with one grandchild, Roxanne, and three great-grandchildren, Johanne, Frances, and Christian, who were her pride and joy. Her heart was also filled with love for her great-great-grandchildren, Alondra, Ryan, Joshua, Olivia, and Evan. Guadalupe's family was her greatest treasure, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Guadalupe V. Castillo will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, her boundless love for her family, and the joy she brought to every life she touched. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished. We love you Ama always and forever.
