Guadalupe Avila Esqueda

Matriarch of her four-generation family, Guadalupe Avila Esqueda, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2022 at the blessed age of 87.

Guadalupe was born in San Antonio Texas on April 16, 1934 to Jesusa and Daniel Avila, she graduated from Fox Tech High school.  She enjoyed playing Texas Lotto, listening to her favorite Elvis and Kenny Rogers hits, and feasting on Church's Chicken, Tamales alongside a chilled Coca Cola. She was passionate on donating to her favorite organizations; Operation Friendship, Goodwill, Salvation Army, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and March of Dimes.  She was devoted to Lord Jesus and her family until the end, being a good person with a kind and loving nature is what best describes her.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and celebrating others whenever possible, Birthday cards with stickers from her were a necessity along with a Birthday blessing.

She is now reunited with her adoring husband of 53 years Louis G. Esqueda, her parents Jesusa and Daniel Avila; siblings, Daniel, Fausto, Ricardo, Raymond (Roy), Pablo, Armando, and Dolores Gomez. She will be dearly missed by her sister Beatrice Avila, her children; Veronica Huizar (Martin), Vincent Esqueda, Louis Esqueda Jr. (Melissa), Adrian Esqueda (Liza), Eugene Esqueda (Karma), Samuel Esqueda, and 25 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends and her dearest parakeet Freddy.
