Guadalupe L. Gonzales passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026. She was surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. She was 92 years old and was born in Fentress, Texas. 

Guadalupe worked the cotton fields at the age of 11 years old. One day she asked her Welito if she could stay home and cook for him and her uncles. At that age, she learned to cook and make homemade tortillas. She would also meet with a group of friends to quilt, crochet, and work on miscellaneous arts and crafts. She would always have a wonderful time with all her friends. Most precious was her faith in God, Virgen de Guadalupe, and Virgen de San Juan.

Guadalupe is preceded in death by her husband Rosendo P. Gonzales, son; Armando L. Gonzales, and great-granddaughter; Zoe R. Gonzales.

Guadalupe is loved and will be missed by her son Carlos Gonzales (Yolanda), daughter; Maria Juanita Guzman (Roger), 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
