Guadalupe R. Martinez

December 12, 1923 – April 14, 2026

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Guadalupe R. Martinez, passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday April 14, 2026, at the age of 102. She was born on December 12, 1923, in Buda, Texas to Ciro and Maria Rocha. Guadalupe was one of ten children, having 4 sisters and 5 brothers.

She married Hilidegardo Martinez on April 20, 1946, until his untimely death in January 1949. Guadalupe was the mother of two daughters, Leticia Ibarra and Frances Nunez.

She loved watching her novellas, making tamales and homemade cookies.

She lived in Connecticut, Utah and Nevada before coming back to San Antonio, making Texas her final home.

She had 5 grandchildren, Melissa Donovan, Anthony Donovan(Sandy), Andrew Flores(Brandi), Melanie Pimental(Mike) and Rosalie Marin(Pablo).

She had 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Guadalupe is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and all her siblings.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and daughter and will be forever loved and deeply missed by her family.
