Guadalupe G.
Munoz
January 9, 1937 – December 5, 2022
Guadalupe G. Muñoz went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2022, at the age of 85.
Guadalupe was born on January 9, 1937, in Gonzales Texas to the late San Juana and Emilio Muñoz. Guadalupe and his late wife Guadalupe C. Muñoz shared a special bond and love, a testament of their 62-year marriage together. In addition to his wife, he treasured his role as a father to his five children: Mary Lou, Juanita, Julia, Emilio, and Linda. Guadalupe retired from Goodwill Industries after years as a truck driver.
Guadalupe leaves behind not only family but so many memories. He had many interests and hobbies to include playing intense rounds of dominos where he loved to win. He spent time fixing cars. He loved old Tejano music and could play the accordion; he often wrote his own music to play. When he watched movies, his picks were always the old western films from the golden age of cinema. Guadalupe loved sweets which made him popular to be around and he especially loved eating pancakes. Guadalupe always took time before the day was over to journal what happened that day. These journal entries are just one of many items we will treasure. His capacity of generosity knew no bounds as he would help anyone in need with support, encouragement, and guidance. He will be remembered forever.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe C. Muñoz; daughter, Mary Lou Muñoz; and parents, San Juana Gonzales and Emilio Muñoz.
He is survived by his children, Juanita Villanueva, Julia Ann Muñoz, Emilio C. Muñoz, and Linda M. Garcia (Ramon J.); grandchildren, Adrian Muñoz, Benjamin Garcia, Jennifer Garcia, Victoria Garcia-Johnson (Chessy Jo), Ramon M. Garcia Jr (Stephanie), Tiffany Rae Rivera Stubbs (Milo), Stephanie Muñoz, Mark Muñoz, Melissa De La Cruz (Frank); great grandchildren, Alejandro Muñoz, Aliyah J. Salinas, Adalynn R. Garcia, Isaiah Garcia, Isabella Garcia, Ezekiel Ray Rivera, Madison De La Cruz, Lauren (Fernando), Alijay Rivera, Andrew De La Cruz, Brandon De La Cruz; a great great-grandchild, Nayeli; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.
