Guadalupe A. Ortega (Lupe), 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19,2024 at home. He was born on April 21, 1947 to Juanita Cerda and Frank Ortega, But was raised by his grandmother (mom) Guadalupe Becerra. He was a proud resident of San Antonio, Tx.

He was a very happy go lucky man, always very friendly and making friends with everyone he met. Lupe loved to play pool, gamble at the horse races, and had a love for playing poker.

Preceded in death by his grandmother (mom) Guadalupe Becerra, parents Frank and Juanita Ortega, and brother Frank Ortega. Surviving family members include his loving wife of 35 years Irene Ortega; sons, Raul (Tina) Ortega, Michael Ortega, Louie ( Geraldine) Ortega; daughter Amelia Anabel Ortega; grandchildren Julia, Maggie, Ricky, Emily, Madison, Ian, Ryan, Ernesto, and Leonardo; and numerous siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation to take place on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary to begin at 6:00pm. Family and friends will gather for a prayer service at 9:30am on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Castillo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
