Guadalupe Barrera Sr was called home on January 30,2025. Guadalupe was born on December 28,1950 on the west side of San Antonio.  He was born to Jose Barrera and Gloria Barrera. He was the oldest of four children.  He Graduated from Sidney Lanier High School class of 1971. He enlisted into the Army.  Married his beautiful wife Maria Barrera and had four children. He served our country for 20 years. Retired in 1992. Later he drove the Via bus and also became a mail carrier. He enjoyed family get togethers and spending time with grandchildren. He was involved in the VFW andAmerican Legion.

He is proceeded in death by his mother Gloria Barrera, father Jose Barrera, Sister Esther Johnson and the mother of His children Maria Barrera. He was loved and will be missed by His children Jose(Laura),Guadalupe Jr. (Andrea),Cecilio (Rosa),Jennifer and sisters Gloria (Michael), Maria Terri  (Brenda), Brother  Daniel (Elena). His Grandchildren Audrey, Steve, Brianna, Mariah, Shyanne, Gabriela, Cecilio (CJ) and Zindayah.

We have lost a great father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend
