Guadalupe Castillo Valdez born November 27th 1956 has passed away August 25, 2024, 4:17 am, at the age of 67, in San Antonio, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Rogelio D Valdez JR., and her son Rogelio C Valdez III. her parents Dionicia Vera Castillo and Marcelino E Castillo, her sister Mary Helen Salinas, her brother Fernando Castillo, her nephew Pete Salinas III, She is survived by her sisters Dolores Martinez, Virginia Castillo, and Diana Guevara, her brothers Marcelino V. Castillo JR. (Rosa Castillo), Juan V. Castillo, and Andres Castillo,, her daughters Tina Y. Ramirez, and Jennifer L. Valdez, her son Ray J. Valdez, her daughter-in-law Alejandra F Valdez, her granddaughters Marrisol C. Ramirez, Anisa Martinez, Angelique Valdez, Raelynd Valdez, Krestalenn Trevino, Regina Valdez, Maritza Alderete, Abigail Alderete, her grandsons Aristeo Martinez III, Mario A Valdez, Joseph Valdez, Isaiah Valdez, Gregorio Lumbreras, Alexander Alderete, Armani Mendez, and Alejandro Alderete JR., and her great granddaughters Ivy Rose Smith, and Lillian Eve Smith, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She was the youngest of 9 siblings. She attended Brackenridge High School. She continued to discover her passion for caring for children and has been a voice for many of the children she cared for since the day she had her first born. She was a long-time fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. She also loved playing Bingo and Dancing.
