Guillermina M.
Pena
February 5, 1927 – March 1, 2021
Guillermina Pena (Mina) departed from us on March 1, 2021. She was surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. She was 94 years young. Born to Cristoval and Guadalupe Morales on February 5, 1927 in San Marcos, Texas.
Guillermina, was a grand woman, who was loving, caring, fun, independent, and multi-talented. She loved singing, playing her guitar, and making music. She was a seamstress, home baker, beautician, and a self-made artist, she was just, a highly creative person. She appreciated beauty, unstructured activities, and variety. She was extremally talented and filled with imagination. She was blessed with many gifts from God. Also, she was always willing to help family members who asked her for help. If you needed a sitter, a ride, or your child picked up from work or school, it was her pleasure doing it. She was devoted to her family, whole heartedly. Her heart was happiest serving her family. Her son's and daughter were the JOY in her life. It brought her the biggest smile seeing her son's and daughter together. Other JOYS in her life, were the numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who love her very much and loved receiving her warm kisses.
Guillermina is preceded in death by her husband Zenon Pena; Her father and mother Cristoval and Guadalupe Morales; Her brother Richard Morales; Her sister's Raquel Torralva and Noemi Alvarado.
She is loved and will be missed immensely by her children: Leticia and Albert Gutierrez, Zenon and Anna Pena Jr, Carlos Able and Sylvia Pena, and her sister Nelda Martinez. Along with numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning.
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For a part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
