Guillermo Chavez Castellanos passed away peacefully at the blessed age of 88, on Monday, April 8, 2024, surrounded by the warmth and love of his wife. Guillermo was born on February 10, 1936 in Torreon, Coahuila to Alfredo and Josefa Castellanos. Guillermo was a carpenter for many years, working for different home builders in San Antonio, Texas. He then changed trades to Interior trim Carpentry and later retired to enjoy time with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He greatly treasured the beautiful memories he created with his family throughout his 88 years on this Earth. The most precious to Guillermo was his faith in God and his church. Guillermo is reunited in Heaven with his parents Alfredo and Josefa Castellanos and his sister Angelina. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Cecilia R. Castellanos; son Guillermo Castellanos Jr. (Emilia), daughter Cecilia Gomez, son Alfred Castellanos (Tesla), Jacob Castellanos, and Frances Ann Montoya (Abraham); 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; sister Margarita Flores, and numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation to take place on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary to begin at 6:00pm. Family and friends will depart in procession on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 8:30am for a 9:00am Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II
