Hector Luis Aguilar passed away peacefully on September 23,2022 surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He was 54 years old.
He was born in San Antonio Texas on May 1, 1968 to Yolanda Luna. Hector attended and graduated from Edgewood High School in 1986. He attended the Latin American Bible Institute in San Antonio Texas, and Southwestern Assemblies of God University In Waxahachie, Texas. Hector had many passions in his life, but his family and singing were the most important to him.
Hector met the love of his life, Sylvia, in 1987 at templo Sion Church. They were married on August 5, 1988, and were happily married for 34 years. They both grew their family and watched it flourish before their eyes. They loved seeing their family in unity.
Hector was known for his passion of entertaining and singing with his band, Hector Aguilar y tejano exposure, and The Hector Aguilar Band. He performed in front of hundreds at private events, ballrooms, The Helotes cornyval, NIOSA, The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo,and countless other events and functions. Hector could control the crowd like no other with his wide range of vocals and his persistence of mastering his craft. He especially loved singing to his wife, sons, relatives , but most recently loved singing to his grandchildren. Hector's passion in life was to create a family that was strong and would continue to flourish as he grew older. He had a beautiful bond with his mother Yolanda that only they could understand. He had a strong connection with his sister and was proud of the woman she became to be and loved his brother in law like the brother he never had. His bond with his sons, and nephew was beautiful and could be seen through his continued support and love. He loved and adored his grandchildren and great niece with every ounce of his being. Hector was a pillar for the family, and will be greatly and deeply missed.
Hector will be reunited in heaven with his grandparents Jose and Hilaria Torres, his mother Yolanda Luna, his aunt Angelita Garza, and his uncle Jesus Torres. He is survived by his wife Sylvia, his son Hector Aguilar and wife Cassandra, son Joshua Aguilar, son Jacob Aguilar, and son Jordan Aguilar. He is also survived by sister Sunamita Yvonne Guitierrez and Husband Randy, and nephew Christian Luna. Hector is survived by his grandchildren Landon, Adrianna, Alejandra, Elliott, Theo, and great niece Leilana, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday October 3,2022 from 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm. Service will be at 6pm
Hector will be laid to rest on October 4,2022 with a brief service and 10:00 am and a procession after.
