Héctor Martínez falleció el miércoles 9 de noviembre de 2022 a la edad de 62 años. Fue un esposo, padre, hermano, hijo y amigo increíble. Le sobreviven su esposa con quien tuvo 33 años de matrimonio, María del Socorro Martínez, sus 2 hijos Erika Karina Martínez y Héctor Martínez y su nieto Benjamín Hector Martínez.

Muchos extrañaremos a Héctor Martínez, pero sabemos que estará con nosotros en nuestros corazones en cada paso del camino, listo para hacernos sonreír si lo necesitamos.

Hector Martinez passed away on Wednesday, November 9th 2022 at the age of 62. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Maria del Socorro Martinez, his 2 children Erika Martinez, Hector Martinez, and his grandchild Benjamin Hector Martinez.

He was born in Arandas, Jalisco, the first of 10 children and would later travel to the United States in the hopes of being able to make enough of a living to provide a better life for his family back home. Through his journey, he would meet his future wife and kickstart the amazing life he lived. True to his original intent, he managed not only to support his own parents in Mexico, but also ensured that his wife and children never needed anything.

Hector had as strong of a work ethic as it comes, and always strived to learn more. This powerful combination led him to pursue his passion and attain an HVAC license. He would go on to be a pillar of support to the community with this expertise. He was passionate about his work, but what he truly cared about was the people he was helping along the way. That is why most of his clients always turned into life-long friends.

Hector had a resilient character and never backed down from a challenge, including cancer. He was diagnosed just over 10 years ago, and while the prognosis given is significantly less, he managed to beat the odds many times with vigor.

Even after multiple stem cell transplants, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, you never saw him lose hope and he always wore a contagious smile as he enjoyed making people laugh with countless stories.

Through all this, his greatest legacy, and what he was the proudest of, will be the endurance he has taught us, the many life lessons he imparted on his children, and the undevoted love he gave his wife. He will be remembered for the joy he provided his grandson, and the magical gift he had to make new friends everywhere he went.

Hector Martinez will be dearly missed by many, but we know he'll be with us in our hearts every step of the way, ready to make us smile if we need it.
