Henry Elias Cerda gained his angel wings on January 1, 2023. He was 72 years old. He was born to Crescencio E. Cerda and Epifania Cortez Cerda on July 15, 1950. Henry graduated from Christ the King School in 1964, and Holy Cross High School in 1968. He attended San Antonio College and University of Texas San Antonio. On September 25, 1971, he married Rebecca Huron. Together they had four beautiful children: Jennifer, Henry Jr., Nicole, and Veronica. Together, they enjoyed sports, cheerleading, traveling, fishing, and music. Henry was a Pop Warner Football Coach for 5 years. He was a VIA and Chartered bus driver for over 30 years. He was a devout Catholic and prayer warrior. He was in the Air Force reserves as a Loadmaster, and proudly served our country and enjoyed our freedom. He enjoyed fishing, music, social media and watching television. He was a big fan of UT Austin Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys. Later in life, he married Betty Boubel on April 26,2007, and gained a stepdaughter Allison Prihoda.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Crescencio E. Cerda, and Epifania Cortez Cerda. Henry is survived by his wife Betty, and five children: Jennifer Cerda, Henry Cerda Jr., Nicole Moran (Jason), Veronica Cerda (Sid), and Allison Prihoda (Sam). Four Sisters: Diana Mercado, Helen Delgado (Richard), Fannie Suarez-Chavez, and Martha Doran. Ten grandchildren: Molly, Katherine, Stevie, Martin, Lilly, Jason Jr., Thalia, Justin, Hunter, and Kyrroll. He is also survived by two loving Aunt's, Rosic Cerda and Marina Cerda, and numerous cousins.
Henry will always be remembered as a caring, witty and loving person to his family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 1:00pm until 5:00pm with a prayer service at 3:00pm. Services to conclude Saturday afternoon.
