Obituary

Henry Escobar Guerrero went to be with the lord on March 17, 2023, at the age of 79.  His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Henry stayed strong until the end.
Henry was born in Lansing, Michigan on October 7, 1943. He led a life of service to both the Lord and his country. He was a faithful man, humble before God and devoted to his teachings. Henry was a member of the United States Army and served his country proudly. He enjoyed his time at Kelly Air Force Base where he later retired. Those who knew Henry quickly understood how much he loved his family and how important each one of them was. One of his favorite things to do was dance with his wife to their favorite band Los Fantasmas De Valle. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as being out in nature hunting and fishing, or spending time at home in his favorite chair watching western movies.
He was preceded in death by his parents Procopio and Anita Guerrero as well as three siblings. Henry is survived by his beautiful wife of 57 years, Ofelia V. Guerrero; Son, Ricky Lopez and Cathy, Daughter, Yvonne V. Guerrero and husband, Gabriel, Daughter, Christine Ashcraft and husband, Paul, Son, Gregory V. Guerrero and wife, Melody;  grandchildren Ricky V. Lopez ll, Anndria Rose Guerrero, Priscilla Ashcraft, Paul Ashcraft Jr, Matthew Ashcraft, Peter Ashcraft, Genevie Guerrero, Alyssa Rodriguez; brother, Vicente Guerrero; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.
The family welcomes guest on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 8:00pm for visitation and a rosary service at 6:00pm.
A graveside service with full military honors will be conducted on Friday March 31, 2023, at 10:30am at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery II.
