Henry Hernandez, husband of Diane M Hernandez, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 20, 2023. He was just 56 years old when he passed away at his residence in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by those he loved. He was born on September 21, 1966, in San Antonio, Texas, a son of the late Jesusita and Agapito Hernandez Sr.

He accomplished much; his life was an example of honest and true love, dedication and hard work. Henry was a successful subcontractor in air conditioning and heating for 25+ years. His longevity in this field was a testament of his knowledge and ability to maintain special bonds with all those who knew him. He was known to enjoy the simple pleasures life had to offer. Memories of him outside BBQing or playing pool, being at the water fishing or opportunities to come together for camping out were special times he especially enjoyed creating. Basketball and football were his sports of interest and working on cars came easily to him. Henry's time with us seemed all too brief but he leaves behind his strength and the faith that one day we will be reunited once again.

In addition to his parents, Jesusita Hernandez and Agapito Hernandez Sr, he is also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Raul T. Martinez.

Family members include his wife of 36 years, Diane Martinez Hernandez; a daughter, Stephanie Hernandez Atkison (Clay Atkison); grandchildren, Nicholas Barrera, Mary Jane Guerra, and Zarina Guerra; siblings, Frank Hernandez Sr (Lupita Hernandez), Herman Hernandez, and Agapita Hernandez Jr; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Monday, September 4, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for a Rosary Service.

A Chapel Service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 10:00 am in the Castillo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at San Fernando Cemetery III
