Herlinda C. Garza, 78, passed away on August 6, 2023 from diabetes. Even though the disease that took her from this world tried to cripple her, her gentleness and loving nature was so profound that it shined brightly even through the hardships. Her absence has left a great void in the space she occupied in this world as well as in the hearts of all that knew her.

Herlinda is survived by her husband Alejandro, as well as her son, Alex Jr.; her daughter, Karen; grandchildren, Madellen, Olivia, Emily, and Lyla; and close family member, Michael. They all made her very proud being a mother and grandmother to all of them.

Public visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, August 17, 2023 with a prayer service to be recited at 6pm. A short graveside service will take place the following day, Friday, August 18, 2023 at 10am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery,
