Hermelinda Martinez Hernandez, born June 5, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at the age of 71. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Ramirez Gomez and Juanita Soto Gomez; birth father, Juan S. Martinez; husband, Felipe Hernandez; and daughter, Angelita Zamora. Hermelinda is survived by her son, Robert Zamora Jr.; companion of 10 years, Sergio Rodriguez; brothers, Juan Jesus Martinez (wife, Rita), Fernando S. Gomez, and Henry S. Gomez (wife, Blanca); sisters, Patricia Gomez Spiller (husband, Romulo), and Guadalupe S. Gomez; along with numerous relatives, friends and caregivers. Visitation will be at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 29, from 3 to 7:30pm with a rosary being recited at 6pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 30 at 10am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2.
