Hilda C. Rozier passed away peacefully with the Lord by her side on October 4, 2022.
Hilda was not alone during this journey, as her son, granddaughters and friends were at her side.
Hilda was 85 years old. She was born in Monterrey, Mexico, on April 11, 1937, to Epifanio & Maria Castillo.
Hilda lived on the westside of San Antonio, TX., where she was a part of the community, With a Molino. She worked with children with special needs at Jose Cardenas, then as an Educational Diagnostician assistant for Edgewood ISD, until her retirement with 30+ years. Hilda was a devoted Catholic. She was a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church, where she served as a Bilingual Lector until she moved with her husband, Byron F. Rozier, from Texas to Arkansas, with her husband, Byron F. Rozier, to begin a new life of farming.
In their retirement years, she moved back to San Antonio, TX, to be closer to her family. Hilda also enjoyed
the outdoors. Most of all, Hilda enjoyed reading and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Hilda is at rest with the God Almighty. She lived a good life with family and friends. Hilda will be missed.
Hilda is preceded in death by her parents, Epifanio & Maria Castillo; brothers, Raul, David,
Oscar, Tito; sister, Irma; and her husbands, Edmundo Ortiz Sr. Byron F. Rozier.
Hilda is survived by sisters, Emma Bedoy and Socorro Bustos; brother, Jamie; sister-in-law, Linda Castillo; her
son, Edmundo Ortiz Jr.; daughter, Beatriz; son-in-law, Arturo Mendez; grandson, Mario; granddaughters,
Angela, Christina, Sheridyana and Jason Jacob & Laurice; and 3 great-grandkids
Hilda will be in the hearts and memories of her beloved family & friends. God bless!
