Hortencia C. Gallegos, age 89, entered eternal peace and was called to be with to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven on December 28, 2020 in San Antonio, TX. She was born in Marion, TX on November 14, 1931.

She was a woman of true beauty from the inside and out. She was always loyal and loving and never met a person she didn't welcome with open arms. She had a beautiful smile that was infectious and had a huge heart that loved beyond all measure. She loved to sing and dance and enjoyed every moment of her life with her family. Heaven has gained the most beautiful angel and our most beloved blessing.

In addition to her parents, Pascual and Maria de Huerta Campos; she was preceded in death by her husband, David S. Gallegos Sr.; her brothers, Pascual Campos Jr and Claudio Campos; her sister, Nicolasa Campos; her son's, John Cruz Sr. and David Gallegos Jr; and her grandson's, Daniel Cruz and George Cruz IV.

Survivors include her children, Guadalupe Barron; Rachel Garza; Roselinda Flores and husband, Ricardo; George Cruz III and wife, Cynthia; Apolonia Ramos and husband, Rudy; David Gallegos III and wife, Anne; Kathy Cruz; 28 grandchildren, 77 great grandchildren, and 30 great-great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 3:00 – 6:30 PM with a private rosary to follow at Castillo Mission Funeral Home, 520 N. General McMullen Drive, San Antonio, TX 78228. Prayer service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
