Hortencia E. Martinez, born on November 2, 1940, was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at the age of 79. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse P. Martinez; children, Rosalie Escobedo, Mary, Sylvia Escobedo, Gregorio Carreon, Arthuro Rivera, Angelita Hernandez, sister, Susie Mendoza; parents, Jesus Escobedo and Angelita Aguirre. Mrs. Hortencia is loved and will be forever missed by her children, Ernesto F. Rivera, Maria de Jesus Pena, Corina Casas (Manuel), Veronica Martinez (Martin Maldonando), Vanessa Martinez and Angelita Escobedo, Barbara Campos, Joanna Cuellar (Simon), Richardo Martinez (Cheryl), Jesse Martinez (Susanne); siblings, Maria Guerrero, Maria I Quiroga, Josie Escobedo, Eva Escobedo, Jose Valdez, Rudy Aguirre and Amelia Aguiniaga; other family, Luis Perez, Maria M. Maldonado; 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous loving relatives and friends.

She loved to make everyone laugh and she made sure everyone was happy. She also loved to dance and sing. She enjoyed gardening but most of all she loved her family time.
