IGNACIO C. GARCIA JR

May 14, 1951 – June 2, 2025

Ignacio C. Garcia Jr passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He was 74 years of age. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on May 14, 1951.

Ignacio was known to all as "Nacho" he served as a Sergeant in the United States Army and was a Veteran. He was proud to be a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division at Fort Bragg specializing in company armor and mandated to be 'on-call anytime, anywhere' with readiness for the U.S. Department of Defense. After his time in the service, he worked as a Pressman at Adolfo's Printing Company in the mid 1980's, he ran the largest print press machine of its time. Soon after he joined his brothers in working for their dad, Ignacio Sr's Tree-Trimming Service. In Nacho's later years he was part of the H-E-B family and worked at Central Market on Broadway as a Partner for 18 years. He had a love for sports and was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. Some of the things he enjoyed most were going to the Dallas Cowboys games with his brothers and son-in-law, family trips to the beach, fishing and watching western movies. Most of all he just loved spending time with his family.

Nacho is preceded in death by his parents Anita Caballero and Ignacio Garcia Sr, his sister Linda Quintero, his nephew Eric Garcia, his niece Jenise Espinoza and his brother David Garcia.

Nacho is very loved and will be missed by all his family; daughter Brenda Herrera (Israel), son Anthony Garcia; grandchildren Carolena Herrera (Deryk), Nicholas Herrera (Vanessa), Gage Garcia, Jude Garcia; brothers Jaime Garcia (Gidget) and Jerry Garcia; Sister-in-Law Sandra Arriaga and his Forever Love Ida L. Garcia; 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
