Ignacio P. Medrano, 83, was called home to be with our Lord on May 11, 2026. A man of kindness and unwavering devotion, Ignacio possessed a "heart of gold" that touched everyone he met. He was hardworking, retired from the City of San Antonio as a truck driver after 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, gambling, and spending time with his family.
Ignacio is reunited in eternal rest with his beloved son, Ignacio Medrano Jr., his parents, Tiburcio and Gregoria Medrano, his siblings, Cresencio Medrano, Rosalinda Sanchez, Eliseo Medrano, and Mando Medrano, and his grandson Michael Medrano.
Mr. Medrano’s memory will be cherished by his devoted wife of 62 years, Esperanza F. Medrano, who remained the light of his life. He is also survived by his Children: Daughter, Melissa M. Schreiber (Fred) and sons, Greg Medrano (Linda) and Adam Medrano (Julia), his siblings: Antonio Medrano, Olga Saucedo (Juan), and Irene Moreno. He leaves behind a proud legacy of 11 grandchildren, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Ignacio was a wonderful man whose greatest joy was his family. The profound love he poured into his roles as a husband, father, and grandfather will remain in their hearts for all eternity. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit lives on through the family he so dearly loved.
