Inocencia N. Muniz, age 74, passed away peacefully February 1, 2021 due to diabetes and congestive heart failure. She was born September 3, 1946 in Luling, Texas to Arturo Nombrano and Inocencia Montana. She married the love of her life, Reynaldo R. Muniz, on December 7, 1968. They had just celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Ino or as her family members would call her "Chenchita", loved to be around others. She had an illuminating smile and contagious laugh. She couldn't go to any store or restaurant without saying hello to someone she knew.
Before Inocencia retired from the workforce, she was a data clerk at Huppertz Elementary School. She also was an active choir member of the San Juan de los Lagos Spanish Choir where her husband is the choir director.
She loved being "out and about" whether it was visiting family/friends, shopping with her girls, or just being with her husband (activities prior to the pandemic). Ino loved traveling and if asked, she would say "let's go to Las Vegas!" where she could have fun and spend time with her family that was there.
Inocencia is preceeded in death by her parents Arturo Nombrano and Inocencia Montana, her step mother Maria T. Nombrano, her sisters Teresa (Juan) Longoria and Ofelia (Pablo) Reyes. She is survived by her loving husband Reynaldo Muniz, her two devoted daughters Monica and Melissa Muniz, her beloved grand daughter Isabella Jack, and sister Yolanda (Pete) Guajardo. She also leaves behind her sisters in law and a brother in law plus her many nephews, nieces and cousins. All whom she loved and touched deeply.
