Inocente Posada went to be with the Lord on August 11, 2022, at the age of 88.

Inocente was born on December 28, 1933, in Mexico to the late Maria Guajardo and Emeterio Posada. He grew up in a loving family with three other siblings and from an early age had aspirations that would lead him to live the remarkable life he did. Inocente met the love of his life, his late wife Maria Elisa Posada, who together shared a sixty-nine-year adventure and marriage together. He adored his wife Maria from the moment they met, tenderly caring for Maria until her passing on April 13, 2021.

Anyone who knew Inocente recognized quickly that he was the most loving husband and father to his children; Maria, Guadalupe, Mario, Jaime, Delia, Rose, and Reynaldo, a family could ask for. He shared this same love with his community of friends and acquaintances. Inocente was exceptional in a kitchen and an incredible chef. He was a retired non-civilian chef with Randolph Air Force Base. His expertise and culinary skills were invaluable as chef to various hotels he worked with, La Manson Del Rio, Sheraton Hotel and the Double Tree Hotel.

Inocente was a proud member of the world's oldest fraternal organization, The Freemasons, belonging to Lodge #1213 on S. Flores. In his free time, he enjoyed peaceful moments at home working outside in his yard. Inocente enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; great conversations, making someone smile, feeling hopeful for the future of those he knew, and while his life must end, his love doesn't.

He inspired those around him to be better individuals. His capacity for generosity knew no bounds. He was someone who would help anyone in need with support, encouragement, and guidance. Inocente loved when family and friends would get together to share his home cooked meals, tell stories from the past and present, and those unforgettable laughs. All those times exist in our memories and will be cherished forever. As the greatest role model we knew, he will be missed tremendously.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Elisa Posada; son, Reynaldo I. Posada; grandson, Jonathon Posada; parents, Maria Guajardo and Emeterio Posada; sister, Alicia Rivera; and brother Ignacio Posada.

He is survived by his children, Maria E. Romero, Guadalupe De la Fuente, Mario A. Posada, Jaime S. Posada, Delia N. Posada, and Rose A. Posada-Sanchez; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; a sister, Socorro Posada; in addition to many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Castillo Funeral Home from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at St. Jude Catholic Church at 11:30 am with interment to follow at San Fernando II Catholic Cemetery.
