Irene C. Duque, age 69, loving Mother of 5 and adoring wife to Juan Duque Sr., she gained her wings on January 29th 2022 and was reunited with her two loving sons. She was born in 1952 in San Antonio, Texas to Parents Simona Vega and Tomas Contreras and grew up with a large family consisting of 9 sisters and 4 brothers. She then married her husband of 51 years in 1971 in Nampa, Idaho where they made their home. She is a loving Mother to 5 children, Juan Duque Jr., Jose Luis Duque, Veronika Duque-Ortiz, Simona Duque, Soyla Duque. She is a loving grandmother to Steven Martinez, Johnny Ortiz, Mario Ortiz IV, Neveah Duque, Klhoie Leon, Nehemiah Duque whom she loved with all her heart. She also is an Aunt to several nieces and nephews. As a Mother, she was loving, generous, and made sure they always came first. She loved spending time visiting family and making life long memories. She is a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt. She touched so many lives with her happy spirit and warm heart. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband Juan, daughters Veronika, Simona, Soyla. Son in law Mario Ortiz and her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her 2 sons, and 2 sisters. Services will be held at Castillo Funeral Home, San Antonio Texas on Saturday Feb 12th, visitation hours will be from 1-5 pm with a prayer service held at 3pm.
