Irene was born in San Antonio, Texas, on October 19th, 1937, as Irene Padilla, to parents Enrique and Jesusa Padilla. Her earlier years were spent traveling with her parents and siblings to do farm work in Michigan during the summer months. She met her husband, Rodolfo Quinones, whom she'd marry on February 18th, 1954, and started a large, loving family, which she would help support by working several jobs, including soldering electronic boards at Power Control and at the Sterling Bakery with her husband. She spent her golden years living a tranquil life at Oak Knoll Villa, where she enjoyed passing her days by chatting with her neighbors, tending to her plants, enjoying time with her family, feeding the stray cats, and watching the people come and go from her window. Irene is survived by her many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
