Obituary

Irma Jimenez Gonzales, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on October 18, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas, to Tomasita and Juan Jimenez, and lived a life centered on family, faith, and service to her community.

Irma dedicated 29 years to Charles C. Ball Elementary School, working in food service. Her kindness, steady presence, and warm smile touched generations of students and staff. She took great pride in her work and the relationships she built over nearly three decades.

Irma’s greatest joy came from caring for her grandchildren. She devoted her life to her family, and her gentle spirit, patience, and unconditional love will be remembered always.

Irma was married to her beloved husband, Jesus Gonzales, for 42 years, building a life filled with love, strength, and devotion. Jesus preceded her in death and now welcomes her home.

She is survived by her sons David Gonzales and wife Josephine Gonzales, and Gabriel Gonzales; her brother Ernesto Jimenez and wife Irene Jimenez; her grandchildren David Gonzales Jr. and Isaac Gonzales; step‑grandchildren Paul Eguia and Roxanne Eguia; and step‑great‑grandchildren Silas Eguia and Saphira Eguia.

She is preceded in death by her brother Juan Jimenez. She is also lovingly remembered by Juan’s wife, Gloria Jimenez.
