Irma Rivera Mendez was born on March 15, 1963 in San Antonio, Tx. At age 60, she came to rest on Tuesday April 4, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving  family in Cibolo, Texas. Irma married her husband of 37 years, Edward Mendez on April 26, 1986.  Irma's faith was extraordinarily strong, trusting the Lord as her Healer.

Jeremiah 29:11 "I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"

She battled appendix and abdominal cancer for 4 years, and won. She now rests in the arms of her Lord with no more pain and suffering and is at peace. Irma was loved by her family, friends, and neighbors and will be missed by all. Irma's greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She was a second mom to all her siblings, and always available with love.

She is preceded in death by her father Frank Rivera and her brother Eduardo Rivera.

Irma is survived by her husband Edward Mendez, daughters Natalie D. Garza , Sunshine Mendez, and "Veteran Marine" son Eduardo Mendez Jr. also 6 granddaughters: Arianna, Camila, MacKenzie, Ava, Sofia, Naomi, and 2 grandsons: Liam, Kylo and 4 step-grandchildren, Jason, Mikaela, Mya, and Easton; her mother Rosalia Rivera and 7 siblings, Emily Zapata, Beatrice Mireles, Elva Benyard, Roselie Rodgers, Francisco Jr., Albert, Henry Rivera, and numerous nieces and nephews.
