In Loving Memory of Isidra "Chila" Contreras
Isidra "Chila" Contreras was born on May 15, 1945, in Nieves, Zacatecas, Mexico, and passed away on June 8, 2026.
Known to everyone as "Chila," she was a strong, hardworking woman who spent most of her life working as a cook. She took pride in her work and dedicated herself to caring for her family and those around her. Through every challenge life brought, Chila faced it with strength, determination, and a smile on her face.
Family was the center of Chila's world. She leaves behind her children, Alfredo Contreras, Felipe Contreras, and Lourdes Contreras, along with her beloved grandchildren, Esmeralda Flores, Alex Flores, Monica Contreras, and Marissa Contreras. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply, and nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with them.
Chila had a strong faith in God and a joyful spirit that touched everyone she met. She loved playing the lottery, singing karaoke, attending parties, and being surrounded by family and friends. Her laughter, kindness, and welcoming nature made her unforgettable. There was rarely a celebration she wasn't invited to, and she could always be counted on to bring joy, energy, and a smile wherever she went.
One of Chila's greatest joys was returning to her hometown of Nieves, Zacatecas, every August. She loved staying connected to her roots and treasured every opportunity to visit the place that held so many special memories.
Chila will be remembered for her strength, hard work, unwavering faith, and the love she shared so freely with others. Most of all, she will be remembered for the smile she always carried and the warmth she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her.
