Obituary

Israel Anthony Adame went to be with his heavenly father on August 9, 2020, when he passed away peacefully in his sleep.  Anthony or "Big Cheese" as he's known to his friends, was born on April 9, 1969 in New Jersey to Israel and Esther Cerna Adame.

Anthony was preceded in death by his Father-in-Law, Alfonso "Cheeto" Perez; Paternal Grandparents, Espirio T. and Aurora P. Adame; Maternal Grandmother, Lydia D. Rodriguez; Maternal Great Grandmother, Genoveva R. Montez; and his beloved fur-babies Bradley and Rocky.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sandra Perez Adame and fur-babies Charlie and Black Jack; his Mother-in-Law, Sara Perez and parents, Esther and Israel Adame, all of San Antonio; brother, Arthur (Kimberly) of High Point, North Carolina; sister, Genieve Rodriguez (Edward) of New Braunfels; Brother-in-Law, Lawrence Perez (Rachel) of San Antonio and numerous nephews, nieces, God children, family and friends whose lives will never be the same.

Anthony earned his degrees in education from Concordia University and Southwest Texas State University. While in school, Anthony owned K9 Security Systems installing car radios, alarms and window tint.   Upon graduation, his servant's heart guided him to work in his parents' alma mater school district, Edgewood Independent School District at Gus Garcia Middle School.  He enjoyed sharing his love of math with his beloved students, many of whom still remained in contact with him when he left education. He also spent several years as a truck driver, traveling and visiting many locations in the United States. Anthony loved to BBQ and host friends and family at his home. He could throw a party!  He also loved to dance, fish and travel.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and his smile could light up a room.  "Big Cheese" will be loved and missed greatly by all that knew him.

Visitation will be at Castillo Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 4:00 p.m.  Chapel service will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at San Fernando Cemetery III.
