Israel "Riley" Garcia was born October 10, 1945 in Brownsville, Texas. He is one of 6 children born to Valentina Rios Garcia and Hilario Garcia. Riley left us to join the Lord's army on March 4, 2020. His heart was too great for this world when the Lord called him home. He was preceded in death by his father, Hilario Garcia. He was a great man with love and compassion for all of God's creatures. He was a loving father of Lily Garcia and Althea Mitchell. A proud grandfather of James Mitchell, Zachary Schwalen and Hunter Gembler. He was also a Godfather to Katherine Stevenson and Nicholas Stevenson. Riley was also retired United States Army and a Purple Heart recipient.

Visitation will take place from 4pm until 9pm on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Castillo Mission Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm. A Prayer Service will take place at 9am on Monday, March 16, 2020 with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
