Israel Garza, 83; was born on Wednesday, January 1, 1941 in Doctor Gonzalez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Born to parents: Felix Garza Chapa and Victoria Bustamante. Israel passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by his loving and devoted wife: Maria Garza and family.

Israel Garza was an honorable son, a loving husband, a caring father, and most importantly, a devoted child of God. Israel was the definition of a hard-working man; he began his career at the peak age of ten selling goods from his mother's storefront in Mexico to help his family. For the next 20 years of his life, he would travel to the United States to work but would often visit his family in Mexico. On one of his visits to Mexico, he met the love of his life, the person with whom he would spend the next 50 years with: Maria. Israel and Maria had a short engagement before they married in Mexico. Upon getting married, they decided shortly after to establish their life in Delano, California. He started working in agriculture and became an Agricultural Supervisor at Sun World, where he would spend the next 34 years of his life leading men and women in agriculture.

Shortly after setting roots in Delano, California, Israel and Maria had their five beautiful children: Simitrio, Daniel, David, Patricia, and Karina Garza. Israel and his family became involved in a local church; which is where their love and passion for Jesus Christ flourished. Shortly after Karina's birth, the entire family relocated to Shafter, California, where they would spend the next 13 years. Upon Israel's retirement from Sun World in 2008, the Garza family relocated to San Antonio, Texas to be closer to family in Mexico. Israel spent the rest of his years purchasing, remodeling, and renting out residential properties in San Antonio, Texas to keep busy as he knew that it was key in living a long and healthy life.

Israel loved life; he wanted more than anything to live until he was 100 years old. He maintained good and healthy habits and instilled those healthy habits to his children and those around him. He was the ultimate handy-man and loved fixing everything himself. He loved to spend time with family, attend church, read, walk, and shop at the local flea markets. He always maintained a positive outlook in life and never strayed from God's plan and purpose for him and his family. Israel will be missed tremendously by his family and loved ones as he was a beacon of light; a true child of God. Israel will be missed by his wife, Maria Garza, 69; his children, Simitrio, 48; Daniel, 46; David, 40; Patricia, 36; Karina, 32; his many grandchildren, and other extended family members. Israel will forever be remembered as a loving and caring husband and father to his family.
