Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Father and Husband Jaime Nieto, born on September 11, 1953, in Mexico City. He peacefully passed away on March 3, 2025, surrounded by loved ones in San Antonio Texas.
He was a devoted husband to Maria Patricia Luna-Gaspar and a loving father to Jim Anthony Nieto, Itzel de la Rosa, Erika Santiago, Dennis Nieto and Stepchildren Natalia Sabrina Ortiz and Marco Ortiz. He was also a cherished grandfather to Antonio Santiago, Athena Santiago, Caleb de la Rosa, Mia Nieto, Anthony Michael Nieto, and Liliana Nieto.
Born in Mexico City, he was the proud sibling of nine brothers and sisters and leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who held him in great affection.
Our father, a man of remarkable character, had an immense love for his family. His kindness and willingness to help others touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. He was known for his playful nature and always ready to lend a hand to family and friends.
In addition to his devotion to family, he had a passion for sports, particularly soccer and boxing. He was an avid fan and enjoyed both playing and watching the games, his favorite teams were El America and Barcelona. He also worked as a Banquet Server for over 30 years at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort, where he was well-liked and respected by his coworkers and guests alike.
Our father made a lasting impact on the lives of his many friends, who will remember him for his genuine kindness, laughter, and loyalty. His presence will be greatly missed, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
