James Payan Murillo, 38, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on May 20, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas.  James was born on July 22, 1983.

Born and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma, James was the son of Francisco Murillo and Rebeca Alonzo.  James attended Central Pentecostal Church in San Antonio.  James was a skilled worker in many different trades, ranging from landscaping to working as a military contractor.  During his work as an oilfield truck driver, he earned the nickname "Sand King" from his tireless work ethic.  He loved to fish, barbecue, and spend time his family and friends that he loved so much.

James is survived by his wife, Diana Murillo; children, James Murillo (Makell Murillo), David Murillo, Elias Murillo, and Titan Murillo; mother, Rebeca Alonzo; siblings, Elizabeth Conley (Robert Conley), Jesse Murillo, twin brother Francisco Murillo, Bernarda Murillo, Calista Alonzo, Brenda Murillo, Felicia Denney (Soren Denney), Claudia Murillo, and Jennifer Hawkes (Curtis Hawkes), along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  James was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Murillo.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 28, at Castillo Funeral Home from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
