James I. Rodriguez, Sr. gained his wings on the morning of March 20, 2024 in his home, surrounded by his wife Anna Rodriguez and youngest son Carl Rodriguez. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 28, 1968 to Jesus and Tomasa Rodriguez. He is reunited in heaven with his father Jesus Alfredo-Rodriguez and older brother Oscar Rodriguez. Our father was a very hard working man that took pride in what he loved....... His devotion to his family and being a concrete driver! He was a die hard fan of the San Antonio Spurs and a loving father, son, brother and friend. Our father was a giving man and would have given you the shirt off his back. He was always so quick to listen and even quicker to make you smile. There was never a dull moment when our father was around. His presence was felt while he was here with us, and his absence penetrates now that he's not. There are no words that we can ever say that will justify our father enough! "His love is like the wind, you can't see it, but you can feel it." He is survived by his wife Anna Rodriguez, sons James Jr., Glenn and Carl Rodriguez, only daughter Dorothy Hernandez, 12 grandkids Joy, Faith Abraham 'Wemby", Emily, Jason, Joshua, Lillian "Lily", Aaliyah, Analynn, Allyson "Allycat", Alexander , Carl Jr., mother Tomasa Rodriguez, brothers Freddy, Michael and Christopher Rodriguez and sisters Mary and Melissa among many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be forever missed! Spread your wings and rejoice in the Kingdom of Heaven! Until we meet again! Visitation will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 1 pm to 5pm with a Prayer Service recited at 3pm.
