It is with heavy hearts and profound love to announce the passing of Janie Martinez, 77. She passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, surrounded by the people she loved most—her family. While her passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully describe, her life was filled with a love that will continue to live on through every person whose life she touched.Born on December 23, 1948, Janie was a woman whose greatest treasures were never things, but people. She found her greatest happiness in her family and in the simple moments shared with the ones she loved. For 58 years, she was the devoted and loving wife of her beloved husband, Daniel Martinez Jr. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, faith, hard work, laughter, and memories that will be treasured forever.To her children, Daniel, Christine, and Valerie, Janie was so much more than a mother. She was their source of love, comfort, strength, and guidance. She was the person they could turn to, the one who cared deeply about their lives, and the heart of their family. Her love for her children never wavered, and she was always proud of the people they became.One of Janie’s greatest joys was becoming a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was blessed with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and each one held a special place in her heart. She cherished watching her family grow and loved the moments spent together. She was a devoted Catholic and a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the Guadalupana Society. Her relationship with God was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life. She carried her faith not only in her heart, but in the way she loved and cared for the people around her.She proudly gave 21 years of service to Worldwide Pest Control, where her commitment and dependability reflected the same strength and determination she brought to everything she did.And if you knew Janie, you knew there were two teams that had a special place in her heart—the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys. She loved cheering them on and enjoyed being a loyal fan every season.Although our family had to say goodbye, they know that a love like Janie’s does not end with her passing. It remains in her children, in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, in the family she and Daniel built together, and in every memory they will carry forward.She leaves behind 58 years of marriage, three children, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a lifetime of love and memories.
