Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jannelle Harper Chenard, a beloved mother,
grandmother/nana, cherished movie companion, and friend. Whose zest for life and unwavering love for
literature, acting, movies, music, and a good cup of tea will forever be etched in our hearts.

Jannelle was born on September 18, 1953, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Bartow Lee Harper and Virginia
Narvelle Saunders. She is survived by her three sons, James (Rebecca), Justin (Claudia), and Christopher
(Phyllis), and her grandchildren: Kathryn, Casey, Dayna, Andrew, Jacob, Analiah, Keira, and Declan.

Jannelle's life was an exploration of the world through the pages of countless books, the magic of the
silver screen, the art of the stage, and those around her. She loved knowledge and had a passion for
storytelling that knew no bounds. She spent countless hours immersed in the worlds created by her own
words, a cherished pastime she maintained throughout her life. From being on the stage, to the back of it,
and directing even commercials- Jannelle always knew that she was born for the arts.

Professionally, Jannelle was a certified optician who found fascination in the world of light. She aimed
and studied to understand that light wasn't just a scientific phenomenon. Light to her was beauty and
wonder.

Jannelle was known to have a quick wit and humor that could turn any mundane moment into a clever
quip or storytelling. Her mind was a treasure trove of various hacks and solutions she never hesitated to
provide.

Above all, Jannelle loved being a mother and grandmother. In her passing, Jannelle leaves behind a
legacy of love, laughter, and appreciation for what life has to offer. She will be dearly missed by her
family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

"I love you to the moon and back."
