Jason P. Ortiz passed away on January 1, 2022, at the age of 29.

Jason is preceded in death by his father, San Juan S. Contreras and his grandmother, Evelia C. Martinez.

He leaves behind his spouse of 10 years, Disiree Nicole Sanchez, and his daughter Abbeni Nicole Ortiz. His sister, Gina M. Contreras, his brother, Joe J. Ortiz, niece's Destini Velasquez, Ruby Velasquez, Julyssa Velasquez, and numerous extended family and friends.

Jason was born on February 10, 1992, in San Antonio Texas. He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High school. Jason had many hobbies and interests he enjoyed skateboarding with ISK. He also loved riding out with his family The minibike crew. He liked sports and was a fan of the San Antonio Spurs. He loved his family and especially loved his baby girl and all the memories made together. Jason brought immense joy to those around him. We loved his caring ways, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Words cannot express the feeling in our hearts. Thank you for your prayers and support during this difficult time. Your shared memories, comforting condolences and gestures of love are truly appreciated.

A visitation will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm with a prayer service to begin at 6:00 pm. A chapel service will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 10:00 am with burial to follow at San Fernando III Cemetery.
