Javier Peña passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 18, 2024. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Rogelio and Maria Peña on January 10, 1966. He had recently turned 58 years old. In 2005 he married Mary Bocanegra, they both were devoted to each other and their numerous fur babies.

Javier will be remembered for his outgoing personality. He was the cool guy with the fast car, the silliest joker and the life of the party.  He was admired by his son, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and known for his love of rock music which he passed on. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Spurs. Javier treasured the memories he had of all his loved ones. He battled his illness head on and fought a good fight. He will be missed tremendously by all his loved ones. As his time came near, he looked to God to help transition him home.

Javier was preceded in death by his parents, Rogelio and Maria Pena; and niece Raylina Arizola.

Javier leaves behind his loving wife of 19 years, Mary Peña; son Nicholas DeAngelo (Samantha); brother Roger Cabico (Monica); brother Gilbert Peña (Cindy); brother Joey Peña (Laura); grandchildren Carter and Zachary; mother-in-law Anita Ancira; father-in-law Johnny Bocanegra; brother-in-law John Bocanegra (Roxane); brother-in-law Gabino Reyes; 2 nieces, 8 nephews and an extensive number of friends.
