Obituary

On Tuesday December 3, 2019, Jennifer Denise Salinas, beloved wife of Mike Salinas Jr and mother of 5 beautiful children Izlynn, Nathanial, Sariah, Jeremiah, and Jaeleen was called home to be with the Lord at the young age of 40.

Jennifer was born on July 30, 1979 in San Antonio, Tx to her dearest mother Vilma Korn and Father Anthony Flores. Jennifer is reunited in Heaven with her Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Jose M. Valdez and Grandmother Peggy Jean Flores.

Jennifer is loved and will be greatly missed by her mother Vilma Korn and Step-father Steven Korn, Sisters Monica Lopez (Jerry Lopez) Melanie Norcross (Christopher Rodriguez) Step Sister Krystal Casanova (Simon Casanova) & step brother Austin Korn, Father Anthony Flores, In-laws Mr. and Mrs. Miguel Salinas, Steven, Roy, and Roxanne Salinas and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jennifer was a believer of God and follower of Jesus Christ; she lived her life dependent on the guidance of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. She met her husband of 14 years at the age of 15 and were close friends through the years until 2001 when he was brave enough to ask the girl of his dreams to be his girlfriend.

She loved spending every moment with her family, going to the park, playing board games, enjoying dates with her sons and getting her hair and nails done with her daughters and movie nights at home. She was an amazing mother; nurturing and loving her children came naturally for her. Jennifer had a joy for life and provided the best for her family. She had a beautiful smile and great sense of humor, always joking and laughing but also very protective of her husband and children. Jennifer was humble and was always willing to help in any way she could, it was important to her that you were well spiritually and always willing to share her testimony and the love of Christ. Jennifer overcame many obstacles in her life; one of them being diagnosed with MS in 2007 where she battled with the disease until her encounter with God in 2008 where she was healed and restored to health for 11 years having 3 of the 5 children during this time.

Visitation will take place at Castillo Mission Funeral Home from 12 Noon until 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019, with a Memorial Service scheduled for 4 p.m.
