Jerry C. Ramirez passed away July 31, 2021. He was 68 years young. He was born in Peru, Indiana on October 2, 1952.

Jerry chose to care for others, and worked as a Physical Therapy Technician before he retired. He graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1970. On May 8, 1976 he married his wife of 45 years, Mary Lou Salazar Ramirez. He worked for the Christus Hospital System for most of his life. The care he provided to his patients brought him joy.

Jerry treasured the loving and lasting memories, he created with his family. He was a huge fan of the San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Vikings, and Houston Oilers. He enjoyed fishing; and, loved searching for old vinyl albums. Passing time at old record shops and Half Price Bookstore. Most precious to Jerry was his family, especially his grandchildren. It is difficult to find the words to express how much he will be missed.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Romaldo Ramirez, his mother, Mary Alice Ramirez, his bothers, Alejandro Ramirez and Romaldo Ramirez Jr., his sisters, Diane Basillo and Mary Alice Adams.

Jerry is loved and will be missed by his wife, Mary Lou Ramirez; daughter, Sylvia Ramirez-Soto (Steven); son, Jerry Ramirez Jr. (Victoria); 3 grandchildren, Ashley San Miguel, Jerry Ramirez III, Tori Ramirez; and numerous brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
